Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will understand the concept of teamwork and strategy in both history and Fortnite, learning how people in the past worked together to achieve goals, just like players do in their favorite game.

Materials and Prep

• None required – just your imagination!
• Be ready to talk about teamwork and famous historical events where people worked together.

Activities

• Fortnite Teamwork Stories: The student will create a short story about a Fortnite match where they and their friends must work together to win. They can use their favorite characters and describe how they help each other, just like famous historical figures did.

• Historical Character Dress-Up: The student can pretend to be a famous historical figure, like George Washington or Cleopatra, and explain how that person worked with others. They can even create a simple costume using items from around the house!

• Build a Fort: Using pillows and blankets, the student can build a fort like the ones in Fortnite. They can invite a family member to join in and discuss how building together is like working as a team in history.
