Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will have a basic understanding of what slavery is, how it affected people, and the importance of freedom. The student will also learn about kindness and helping others.

Activities

Story Time:
Read a simple children's book that touches on themes of freedom and kindness. Discuss the characters and their feelings.

Freedom Drawing:
Ask the student to draw a picture of what being free means to them. Encourage them to use bright colors and lots of imagination.

Kindness Circle:
Have a discussion about how we can help others. Create a circle on the floor with pillows and talk about ways to be kind and supportive.

Role Play:
Act out a simple scenario where one person helps another. This could be sharing toys or helping someone who is sad. This helps to understand empathy.
