Objective
By the end of this lesson, Lively will be able to identify different plants and animals, understand their basic needs, and appreciate the beauty of nature around her.
Materials and Prep
- Paper
- Crayons or markers
- Nature notebook (can be any notebook)
- Outdoor space (garden, park, or backyard)
- Time to explore and observe
Before the lesson, make sure to choose a safe outdoor area where Lively can explore plants and animals. Prepare the nature notebook for her to draw and write in.
Activities

Nature Walk
Take a walk outside to observe different plants and animals. Lively can look for flowers, trees, insects, and birds. Encourage her to point out what she sees and ask questions about them.

Plant and Animal Drawing
After the walk, have Lively draw her favorite plant or animal in her nature notebook. She can use crayons or markers to add colors and details.

Story Time
Read a short story about a plant or an animal. Discuss what the plant or animal needs to grow and thrive. Ask Lively what she thinks makes them special.

Nature Collage
Using the paper, Lively can create a collage of her favorite things from nature. She can draw or write about them, making it a colorful representation of her discoveries.
