Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will create fun pirate-themed artwork using paper, markers, and scissors. This will encourage creativity and help develop fine motor skills while exploring the exciting world of pirates!
Materials and Prep
- Colored paper (blue, brown, yellow, and black)
- Markers (various colors)
- Child-safe scissors
- Glue stick
- Pencil
- Printouts of pirate images (optional for inspiration)
Before the lesson, make sure the workspace is clear and that the student is comfortable. Have all materials ready to avoid distractions.
Activities

1. Pirate Hat Craft
The student will create their own pirate hat using black paper. They can cut out a triangle shape and decorate it with markers to add designs like skulls or crossbones.

Using brown paper, the student will draw a treasure map. They can add a big "X" to mark the spot and decorate the map with trees, mountains, and a treasure chest.
