Activities

• Building a House

  The student will design and build a simple house in Minecraft. They will need to calculate the area of the floor and how many blocks they need for the walls and roof. This activity will help them practice addition and multiplication.

• Creating a Farm

  The student will create a farm, deciding how many crops to plant in rows and columns. They will use multiplication to figure out how many crops they can grow in a certain area, helping them understand geometry and area.

• Measuring Distances

  The student will use the in-game coordinates to measure distances between different points in their world. They can practice subtraction by finding the difference in coordinates between two locations.

• Treasure Hunt with Coordinates

  The student will create a treasure hunt using coordinates. They will need to use math to calculate the distance to the treasure and create clues based on their calculations, reinforcing their understanding of numbers and spatial awareness.
