Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to sing a welcome song using the lyrics "Hello everybody, how are you? How are you? Hello everybody, how are you today?"

Materials and Prep

  • No additional materials required.
  • No prior knowledge needed.

Activities

  1. Start by introducing the welcome song to the student. Sing the song a few times while encouraging the student to listen and observe.

  2. Break down the song lyrics into smaller phrases and repeat each phrase with the student. Use actions or gestures to accompany the phrases to make it more engaging.

  3. Once the student is familiar with the phrases, sing the entire song together. Encourage the student to sing along and use the actions or gestures.

  4. Practice the song multiple times, gradually reducing your support and allowing the student to sing independently.

  5. As a final activity, encourage the student to perform the song for a family member or record a video of their performance to share with others.
