Objective

By the end of this week-long assessment, Logan will demonstrate his understanding of key concepts covered in Year 4 of the Australian curriculum across English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, and Health. He will complete worksheets that will help him review and reinforce what he has learned throughout the year.

Materials and Prep

  • Printed worksheets for English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, and Health
  • Pencils and erasers
  • Colored pencils or markers for creative activities
  • Timer or stopwatch for timed activities
  • Quiet workspace free from distractions

Before starting, ensure all worksheets are printed and organized by subject. Set a comfortable and quiet space for Logan to work in.

Activities

  • Daily Worksheet Challenge:

Each day, Logan will complete one worksheet from a different subject. This will help him focus on one area at a time and not feel overwhelmed.

  • Creative Review:

Logan can create a colorful poster summarizing what he learned in each subject. This will help him visualize the information and make it more memorable.

  • Timed Quiz:

Set a timer for 15 minutes and have Logan answer as many questions as he can from a subject worksheet. This will help him practice working under time constraints.

  • Peer Teaching:

Logan can explain a topic he learned this year to a family member or friend. Teaching others is a great way to reinforce his own understanding.

  • Reflection Journal:

At the end of each day, Logan can write a few sentences in a journal about what he found easy or challenging. This will help him reflect on his learning process.
