Objective

By the end of this lesson, Fatimazohra will be able to identify different types of breakfast foods, understand their nutritional benefits, and create a simple breakfast dish using her favorite ingredients.

Materials and Prep

  • Paper and colored pencils or markers for drawing
  • Basic ingredients for a simple breakfast dish (e.g., bread, eggs, fruit, yogurt)
  • A recipe book or printed recipes (optional)
  • A safe cooking area (kitchen) and utensils (e.g., frying pan, spatula)
  • Knowledge of any food allergies or dietary restrictions

Activities

  • Breakfast Food Drawing:

Fatimazohra will draw her favorite breakfast foods. She can use her imagination to create new breakfast items too! After drawing, she will share her artwork and explain why she chose those foods.

  • Breakfast Food Taste Test:

Prepare a small sampling of different breakfast items (like fruits, cereals, or yogurt). Fatimazohra will taste each item and rate them from 1 to 5 stars based on how much she likes them.

  • Cooking Together:

With supervision, Fatimazohra will help prepare a simple breakfast dish. This could be making scrambled eggs or assembling a yogurt parfait. She will learn basic cooking skills and the importance of cleanliness in the kitchen.

  • Breakfast Food Bingo:

Create a bingo card with different breakfast foods. As you call out the names of the foods, Fatimazohra can mark them off on her card. This will help her learn the names of various breakfast items in a fun way!
