Objective

Materials and Prep

• Timer for timed challenges

Before the lesson, ensure the student has access to Fortnite and is familiar with the basic controls and gameplay mechanics. It may also be beneficial to watch a few tutorial videos to get started.

Activities

• Game Strategy Discussion:

  Begin with a discussion about different strategies in Fortnite. Ask the student to share their favorite strategies and why they work. Discuss the importance of resource management, positioning, and teamwork.

• Resource Gathering Challenge:

  Set a timer for 10 minutes and challenge the student to gather as many resources as possible in a game. Afterward, discuss the importance of resource management and how it affects gameplay.

• Creative Building Exercise:

  Encourage the student to build a unique structure in Creative Mode. This will help them understand the building mechanics and creativity involved in Fortnite. After building, they can present their creation and explain their design choices.

• Teamwork Simulation:

  If possible, play a duo or squad game with the student. Focus on communication and teamwork. After the game, discuss what strategies worked well and what could be improved for better teamwork in future games.
