  • Ingredients for a simple dish (e.g., pasta, vegetables, sauce, or any dish of choice)
  • Notebook and pen for taking notes
  • Access to a stove and oven (with supervision if needed)
  • Hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies for food safety

  • Basic Cooking Techniques:

Introduce basic cooking techniques such as chopping, boiling, and sautéing. Demonstrate how to chop vegetables safely and let the student practice while you supervise.

  • Recipe Creation:

Choose a simple recipe together, such as a stir-fry or pasta dish. Guide the student through the process of preparing the ingredients and cooking the meal, encouraging them to take notes on each step.

  • Taste Test and Reflection:

Once the dish is prepared, have a taste test! Discuss what worked well and what could be improved. Encourage the student to think critically about their cooking experience.
