-
Sing and Move: Teach the student a simple song with actions, such as "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes." Sing the song together and encourage the student to follow along with the actions.
-
Explore Rhythm: Introduce the concept of rhythm by clapping or tapping different patterns. Start with simple patterns like "clap, clap, clap, clap" and gradually increase the complexity. Encourage the student to create their own rhythms and repeat them.
-
Improvise: Give the student an opportunity to improvise and create their own melody. Encourage them to make up a simple tune using their voice and experiment with different pitches and rhythms.
-
Music and Emotions: Play different pieces of music with varying moods and ask the student how the music makes them feel. Discuss the connection between music and emotions, and encourage the student to express their feelings through movement or facial expressions.
