Objective

By the end of this lesson, Mona will understand the basic astrological symbols and their meanings, including the twelve zodiac signs, their associated elements, and how they can relate to personality traits. She will also create her own zodiac-themed art project to reinforce her learning.

Materials and Prep

  • Paper
  • Pens or colored pencils
  • Reference sheet of zodiac symbols and their meanings (can be created by the teacher beforehand)
  • Art supplies for the project (optional: glitter, stickers, etc.)

Before the lesson, familiarize yourself with the twelve zodiac signs, their elements (Fire, Earth, Air, Water), and associated personality traits. Prepare a reference sheet that Mona can use during the activities.

Activities

  • Zodiac Symbol Exploration:

Mona will explore each zodiac symbol using the reference sheet. She will learn about their meanings, elements, and personality traits. After reading, she can choose her favorite sign and share why she likes it.

  • Create Your Zodiac Art:

Mona will create her own artistic representation of her zodiac sign. She can draw, color, and decorate it with any materials she likes. This will help her express her understanding of the symbol creatively.

  • Zodiac Personality Match:

Mona will write down three personality traits she thinks are true for her and then compare them with the traits associated with her zodiac sign. This will help her see how astrology can relate to her own life.
