Objective
By the end of this lesson, Levi will learn how to create his own toy review video, exploring the different aspects of toy presentation, storytelling, and audience engagement, all while having fun with his favorite toys!
Materials and Prep
- A smartphone or tablet with a camera (for recording)
- Levi's favorite toys (to review)
- A quiet space for recording
- Optional: A mirror (to practice speaking and expressions)
Before the lesson, ensure that the recording device is charged and ready to use. Discuss with Levi which toys he wants to review and encourage him to think about what makes each toy special.
Activities
-
Toy Selection:
Levi will choose 3-5 toys from his collection that he wants to review. He should think about what he likes about each toy and why other kids might want to play with them too.
-
Script Writing:
Levi will create a simple script or outline for his video. He can include an introduction, a description of each toy, and a fun conclusion. This will help him organize his thoughts and make his video more interesting!
-
Practice Recording:
Levi will practice presenting in front of a mirror or to a family member. He can work on his speaking voice, facial expressions, and gestures to make his presentation lively and engaging.
-
Video Recording:
Levi will record his toy review video. He can introduce himself, show each toy, explain why he likes it, and give it a fun rating at the end! Encourage him to be enthusiastic and have fun while recording.
-
Video Review:
After recording, Levi will watch his video and think about what he liked and what he could improve next time. This is a great way to learn and grow as a presenter!
