Objective
By the end of this lesson, True will be able to identify and describe some key figures in Greek mythology, understand their stories, and express creativity through related activities.
Materials and Prep
- Paper
- Crayons or colored pencils
- Storytime space (a comfy spot to sit)
- Imagination!
Before the lesson, it’s helpful to know a few basic stories about Greek gods and goddesses, like Zeus, Athena, and Hercules, to share with True.
Activities
-
Storytime Adventure: Begin by telling True a simple story about a Greek god or goddess. Choose a fun and engaging tale, like Zeus throwing lightning bolts or Athena helping heroes. Use expressive voices to make it exciting!
-
Mythical Creature Drawing: After the story, ask True to draw their favorite character from the story. Encourage them to use lots of colors and add their own imaginative touches, like extra powers or funny expressions.
-
Heroic Role Play: Let True pretend to be a Greek hero or goddess. They can act out a scene from the story or create their own adventure. You can join in too, making it a fun and interactive experience!
