Section 1: Meet the Koala! (Approx. 20 mins)

What do you already know about koalas? Let's find out some amazing facts!

1. Fuzzy Facts Video: Watch a short, fun video about koalas. (Teacher Note: Find a suitable 3-5 minute video on a kid-friendly platform about general koala facts. Search for terms like "Fun Koala Facts for Kids".)
2. Koala Chat: After watching, discuss:
   • What was the most surprising fact you learned?
   • What do koalas eat? (Eucalyptus leaves!)
   • Are koalas bears? (Nope, they're marsupials!)
   • What is a baby koala called? (A joey!)
3. Draw a Koala: Using paper and drawing supplies, try to draw your own koala. Focus on its fluffy ears, big nose, and strong claws.

Section 2: Exploring the Eucalyptus Forest (Approx. 25 mins)

Koalas live in a very specific place. Let's explore their habitat!

Section 4: Creative Koala Creation! (Approx. 30-45 mins)

Now it's time to get really creative and show what you've learned!

Choose one (or both!) of these activities:

1. Eucalyptus Cafe Menu: Imagine you're a koala chef! Design a menu for your "Eucalyptus Cafe." What different types of eucalyptus leaves are on offer? (Make up funny names!) Draw pictures of your leafy dishes.
2. Koala Habitat Diorama: Using your shoebox (or a sturdy piece of cardboard as a base) and craft supplies, create a model of a koala in its eucalyptus forest habitat.
   • Use twigs or rolled-up brown paper for tree trunks and branches.
   • Cut out green paper leaves. Eucalyptus leaves are often long and slender.
   • Make a little koala from playdough, cotton balls, or draw and cut one out.
