Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to read and follow instructions to create your own fairy garden.

Materials and Prep

  • A small container or pot
  • Soil or potting mix
  • Small plants or flowers
  • Decorative items like pebbles, mini figurines, or fairy accessories
  • A watering can or spray bottle

Before starting the lesson, make sure you have all the materials ready and a clear workspace.

Activities

  1. Read the instructions together: Start by reading the instructions on how to create a fairy garden. Pay attention to the steps and make sure you understand what needs to be done.
  2. Prepare the container: Fill the container with soil or potting mix. Make sure it is evenly spread and slightly packed down.
  3. Plant the flowers: Carefully plant the small plants or flowers in the soil. Dig a small hole, place the plant inside, and cover the roots with soil. Gently press the soil around the plant to secure it.
  4. Add decorations: Get creative and add decorative items to your fairy garden. You can place pebbles to create a pathway, add mini figurines, or place fairy accessories like tiny benches or houses.
  5. Water your garden: Use a watering can or spray bottle to water your fairy garden. Be careful not to overwater it, just give it a little sprinkle.
  6. Observe and maintain: Place your fairy garden in a spot where you can easily observe it. Make sure to water it regularly and take care of the plants.
