Activities

1. Harry's Potion Ingredients

   Imagine you are helping Harry brew potions. Create a list of 5 potion ingredients and assign each ingredient a cost in Sickles, the currency used in the wizarding world. Use your arithmetic skills to calculate the total cost of all the ingredients.

2. Quidditch Scores

   Research the scores of three recent Quidditch matches and calculate the average score for each team. Then, determine the difference between the winning team's score and the losing team's score. Use this information to create a word problem involving the Quidditch scores.

3. Magical Creatures

   Choose three magical creatures from the Harry Potter series and find out their average lifespan in years. Calculate the total lifespan of these three creatures combined. Then, divide the total lifespan by the number of creatures to find the average lifespan per creature.
