Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to understand the basics of marine biology and identify different marine organisms.

Materials and Prep

  • Computer or tablet with internet access
  • Pen and paper
  • Coloring materials (optional)

Before starting the lesson, make sure you have a basic understanding of the ocean and its different zones.

Activities

  1. Watch a video about marine biology to introduce the topic and spark interest.
  2. Research and identify three different marine organisms of your choice. Write down their names and draw/color pictures of them.
  3. Create a marine biology poster using your drawings and information about the organisms. Include their names, characteristics, and any interesting facts.
  4. Present your poster to a family member or friend, explaining the importance of marine biology and why it is important to protect marine life.
