By the end of this lesson, you will be able to write a creative story using characters from Toca Boca World.

Materials and Prep

Before starting the lesson, make sure you have explored Toca Boca World and are familiar with the characters and their different settings.

Activities

  1. Brainstorming: Think about your favorite character from Toca Boca World and imagine a new adventure for them. Write down some ideas about what could happen in the story.
  2. Character Development: Choose a character from Toca Boca World and create a detailed description of them. Include their appearance, personality traits, and any special abilities or skills they have.
  3. Setting Exploration: Pick one of the settings in Toca Boca World and describe it in detail. Think about what it looks like, what sounds you might hear there, and any interesting things you could find.
  4. Story Writing: Use your character and setting descriptions to write a creative story. Start with an exciting beginning, develop the plot in the middle, and end with a satisfying conclusion. Be as imaginative as possible!
  5. Editing and Revising: Read through your story and make any necessary changes to improve the flow, grammar, and punctuation. You can also ask a family member or friend to read it and provide feedback.
