Activities
Choose an animal that you find interesting. Look at pictures or read books about that animal to gather ideas.
Draw a picture of your chosen animal on a piece of paper.
Write a sentence or two describing your animal. Think about its appearance, habitat, and any interesting facts.
Using your drawing and description, create a short story about your animal. You can make up a fictional story or write about something you know about the animal.
Read your story aloud to a family member or friend. Ask for their feedback and make any necessary revisions.
Decorate your story with colors and illustrations.
