Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to identify and discuss the theme of "Being a boy is awesome" in a book.

Materials and Prep

  • A book with the theme "Being a boy is awesome"

Activities

  • Read the book together with your child.
  • Encourage your child to point out any instances in the book where the theme "Being a boy is awesome" is portrayed.
  • Discuss the different ways the book illustrates why being a boy is awesome.
  • Ask your child to share their thoughts and feelings about the theme and whether they agree or disagree.
  • Encourage your child to create a drawing or write a short story that reflects their own perspective on why being a boy is awesome.
