Materials and Prep

Activities
- Introduce Taylor Swift and her music to the student. Discuss her popularity and the themes she often writes about in her songs.
- Listen to one of Taylor Swift's songs together and analyze the lyrics. Discuss the emotions, storytelling, and imagery used in the song.
- Ask the student to choose their favorite Taylor Swift song and brainstorm ideas for a creative story inspired by that song. Encourage them to think about characters, settings, and conflicts.
- Guide the student in writing their own creative story based on their chosen Taylor Swift song. Remind them to include descriptive details, dialogue, and a clear beginning, middle, and end.
- Once the story is complete, have the student read it aloud or share it with others. Encourage them to reflect on how the song influenced their writing and what they enjoyed about the process.
