Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to identify and name different ocean and aquatic animals in Spanish.
Materials and Prep
- Flashcards with pictures of ocean and aquatic animals
- Whiteboard or paper
- Markers or colored pencils
- Internet access (optional)
Activities
-
Start by showing the flashcards of different ocean and aquatic animals to the student. Say the name of each animal in Spanish and ask the student to repeat after you.
-
Next, draw a simple ocean scene on the whiteboard or paper. Include waves, a sun, and some fish. Ask the student to label each element in Spanish. For example, "Can you label the waves as 'olas' in Spanish?"
-
Now, ask the student to choose their favorite ocean or aquatic animal from the flashcards. Have them draw and color their chosen animal on the whiteboard or paper. Encourage them to label the animal in Spanish as well.
-
If you have internet access, search for videos or songs about ocean and aquatic animals in Spanish. Watch or listen to them together and try to identify the animals mentioned in the content.
