Materials and Prep

No prior knowledge of Greek mythology is required.

Activities

1. Create a Word Search:

   • Start by drawing a grid of squares on your blank paper.
   • Choose 5-7 words related to Greek mythology (e.g., Zeus, Athena, Hercules).
   • Write each word horizontally, vertically, or diagonally in the grid.
   • Fill the remaining squares with random letters.
   • Share your word search with a family member or friend and see if they can find all the words.

2. Mythological Story Writing:

   • Think of a mythological character you like (e.g., Medusa, Poseidon, Pandora).
   • Write a short story (3-5 sentences) using that character as the main character.
   • Try to use the words you learned from the word search in your story.
   • Read your story out loud to a family member or friend.
