Activities
- Introduction: Begin by discussing different animals with the student. Show them pictures or read from animal books to spark their interest.
- Animal Collage: Provide the student with blank paper, scissors, and glue. Encourage them to cut out animal pictures from magazines or draw their own animals. Let them create a collage by gluing the animal cutouts onto the paper.
- Animal Drawing: Give the student crayons or colored pencils and ask them to choose an animal they like. Guide them in drawing the animal on a separate sheet of paper. Encourage them to use different colors and be creative.
- Art Appreciation: Show the student different styles of animal artwork, such as realistic, abstract, or cartoon-like. Discuss the characteristics of each style and ask the student which style they prefer.
- Sharing and Reflection: Have the student share their collage and drawing with you. Ask them to explain their choices and what they enjoyed about the process. Encourage them to appreciate their own artwork and the artwork of others.
