Activities
-
Warm-up: Begin by stretching and warming up the body. Encourage the student to stretch their arms, legs, and torso, just like a superhero preparing for action.
-
Superhero Training Circuit: Set up a series of stations with different physical activities. For example:
- Station 1: Superhero Jumps - Have the student perform jumping jacks or jump rope, pretending to fly like a superhero.
- Station 2: Super Strength - Provide lightweight objects (e.g., small bean bags) for the student to lift and carry, building their superhero strength.
- Station 3: Super Speed - Set up an obstacle course with cones or markers for the student to navigate quickly, using their super speed.
- Station 4: Super Balance - Have the student practice balancing on one leg or walking on a line, developing their superhero balance.
Allow the student to spend a few minutes at each station, rotating through the circuit multiple times.
-
Cool-down: End the lesson with a calming cool-down activity. Encourage the student to take deep breaths and stretch gently, just like a superhero relaxing after saving the day.
