Activities

Show the student a world map or globe and locate Peru in South America. Explain that we will be learning about a fascinating civilization that existed in Peru a long time ago.

Show the student a picture or illustration of the Inca civilization. Discuss some of the key features, such as their impressive stone buildings, terraces, and the famous Machu Picchu.

Encourage the student to draw a picture of the Inca civilization or any specific aspect that interests them. They can also color it to make it more vibrant and engaging.

If internet access is available, you can show the student some short videos or images of present-day Peru to give them an idea of how the country looks today, which may help them make connections to the ancient Inca civilization.
