Activities

  1. Introduction (5 minutes): Start by asking the student what they know about picnics and why they are fun. Discuss the idea of a community picnic and how it brings people together.
  2. Community Helpers (10 minutes): Show the student pictures of different community helpers (e.g., police officer, firefighter, doctor) and explain their roles in the community. Discuss how these helpers contribute to the well-being and safety of the community.
  3. Citizenship and Responsibility (10 minutes): Talk about the importance of being a responsible citizen. Explain that citizens have certain rights and responsibilities, such as following rules and laws, helping others, and participating in community events like picnics.
  4. Planning the Picnic (15 minutes): Ask the student to imagine they are organizing a community picnic. Have them draw or write down the food items they would like to have, the activities they would like to include, and the community helpers they would invite. Encourage creativity and collaboration.
  5. Sharing and Discussion (10 minutes): Allow the student to share their picnic plans with you or other family members. Discuss the different ideas and emphasize the importance of working together as a community.
