Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to improve your vocabulary skills through a fun vocabulary game.
Materials and Prep
- Pen or pencil
- Blank paper or index cards
Before starting the lesson, make sure you have a good understanding of different words and their meanings.
Activities

Create your own vocabulary game:
- Think of five words that you want to learn or review.
- Write each word on a separate piece of paper or index card.
- On the back of each card, write down the definition of the word.
- Shuffle the cards and place them face down on the table.
- Take turns flipping over a card and trying to guess the word based on its definition.
- If you guess the word correctly, keep the card. If not, return it to the table face down.
- The player with the most cards at the end of the game wins!

Word hunt:
- Choose a book or a magazine that you enjoy reading.
- Flip through the pages and try to find at least five new words that you don't know.
- Write down each word on a piece of paper.
- Look up the meanings of these words in a dictionary or ask an adult for help.
- Use each word in a sentence to practice using them in context.
