Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to improve their reading skills and comprehension through engaging activities related to their interest in Fortnite.

Materials and Prep

  • Fortnite book or story (can be printed or accessed online)
  • Pen or pencil
  • Blank paper or notebook

Prior knowledge of basic reading skills is recommended.

Activities

  1. Read a Fortnite story:

    1. Choose a Fortnite book or story to read.
    2. Read the story together or have the student read independently.
    3. Discuss the characters, plot, and any new vocabulary words.
  2. Create a character description:

    1. Ask the student to choose their favorite Fortnite character from the story.
    2. Have them draw a picture of the character and write a short description using adjectives to describe their appearance, personality, and abilities.
    3. Encourage them to use descriptive language and provide examples if needed.
  3. Write a new ending:

    1. Discuss the original ending of the story.
    2. Ask the student to imagine a different ending and explain why they would choose that ending.
    3. Have them write a short paragraph or draw a comic strip depicting the new ending.
