Objective
By the end of this lesson, the toddler will be able to appreciate and create artwork inspired by Minnie Mouse.
Materials and Prep
- White paper
- Colored pencils or crayons
- Scissors
- Glue
- Images of Minnie Mouse for reference (can be printed or shown on a screen)
No prior knowledge or preparation is required.
Activities
- Introduce Minnie Mouse: Show the images of Minnie Mouse to the toddler and talk about who she is. Explain that Minnie Mouse is a popular cartoon character created by Disney.
- Coloring Minnie Mouse: Provide the toddler with a printed coloring page of Minnie Mouse or let them draw their own Minnie Mouse using the colored pencils or crayons. Encourage them to use their favorite colors.
- Cutting and Pasting: Help the toddler cut out the colored Minnie Mouse they have just created. Then, provide them with a blank piece of paper and show them how to glue the Minnie Mouse onto the paper.
- Decorating Minnie Mouse: Encourage the toddler to add additional details to their Minnie Mouse artwork using the colored pencils or crayons. They can draw clothes, accessories, or a background for Minnie Mouse.
