By the end of this lesson, you will be able to create a title and cover for a piece of writing.
Materials and Prep
- Blank paper
- Pencils, markers, or crayons
Activities
-
Choose a piece of writing that you would like to create a title and cover for. It could be a story, a poem, or even a non-fiction piece.
-
Think about the main theme or idea of your writing. What do you want your readers to know or feel?
-
Brainstorm different words or phrases that relate to your writing. Write them down on a piece of paper.
-
Using your words or phrases, create a title for your writing. Make sure it captures the essence of your piece and grabs the reader's attention.
-
Now, let's design a cover for your writing. Think about what images or symbols represent your writing. Draw or color them on your paper.
-
Add your title to the cover, making it stand out and complement the images you drew.
-
Once you are done, step back and admire your title and cover. Share it with others if you'd like!
