Activities
- Introduction to Art and Music (10 minutes)
Play a piece of instrumental music and ask the student to listen carefully. Discuss how the music makes them feel and what images or colors come to mind while listening. - Creating Music-Inspired Artwork (30 minutes)
Provide the student with paper and art supplies. Instruct them to choose a piece of music that inspires them and start creating an artwork based on the emotions and visuals they associate with the music. Encourage them to experiment with different colors, lines, and shapes to express their interpretation. - Sharing and Reflection (10 minutes)
Give the student an opportunity to share their artwork with you or other family members. Discuss the connection between the music they chose and the artwork they created. Ask them to explain the choices they made and how they think the music influenced their creative process.
