Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to understand basic geography concepts through a fun Lego video game activity.

Materials and Prep

• Lego video game with a geography-themed level
• Computer or gaming console to play the video game
• Basic knowledge of how to play the Lego video game

Activities

• Start by playing the Lego video game together. Choose a level that has a geography theme or includes different locations.
• As you play, encourage the student to observe and discuss the different environments and landmarks they encounter in the game.
• Take breaks during the game to have short discussions about the locations and ask questions to reinforce their understanding of geography concepts.
• After playing the game, ask the student to draw or build their favorite location or landmark from the game using Legos. Encourage them to label their creation with the correct name.
• Have the student present their Lego creation and explain why they chose that particular location or landmark.
