Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to locate and identify different countries on a world map, while learning about the adventures of Paddington Bear.
Materials and Prep
- A world map or globe
- Pictures or illustrations of Paddington Bear
- Coloring materials (crayons, markers, or colored pencils)
- Scissors
- Glue or tape
Activities
- Introduce Paddington Bear to the student by showing pictures or illustrations. Discuss briefly about Paddington Bear's origins and adventures.
- Show the student a world map or globe and explain that Paddington Bear has traveled to various countries around the world.
- Ask the student to choose a country that they would like to learn more about. Help them locate the chosen country on the map or globe.
- Provide the student with a printed outline of Paddington Bear. Instruct them to color and cut out the character.
- Ask the student to glue or tape Paddington Bear onto the chosen country on the map, representing his visit to that country.
- Encourage the student to research and share some interesting facts about the chosen country with you or other family members.
- Repeat the activity with different countries, allowing the student to explore and learn about various cultures and locations.
