Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to identify and analyze the main themes and character motivations in a story related to Roblox, and understand how to make inferences and draw conclusions from the text.

Materials and Prep

Materials: Computer or tablet with internet access, notebook or paper, pen or pencil.

Prep: Ensure the student has access to a Roblox story or game related to their interests.

Activities

• Read a Roblox story or play a Roblox game related to a story. Take notes on the main characters, their motivations, and the central themes.

• Write a short summary of the story, including the main characters, setting, and key events.

• Discuss the story with a focus on character motivations and the main themes. Encourage the student to express their opinions and make connections to their own experiences.

• Practice making inferences and drawing conclusions from the text by asking the student to predict what might happen next in the story or game.

• "In the story, what do you think motivated the main character to take that action?"

• "Can you identify the main theme of the story? How does it relate to the characters' actions?"
