Materials and Prep
Materials: Paper, pencils, Hello Ninja or Octonauts toys or pictures, pictures of animals.
Prep: Familiarize yourself with the characters from Hello Ninja and Octonauts, and gather pictures of different animals.
Activities
1. Ninja Addition: Use Hello Ninja toys or pictures to practice addition. For example, if there are 3 ninjas and 2 more join, how many ninjas are there in total?
2. Octonauts Subtraction: Use Octonauts toys or pictures to practice subtraction. For instance, if there are 5 Octonauts and 3 leave, how many Octonauts are left?
3. Animal Counting: Show pictures of different animals and ask the student to count how many of each animal they see. For example, how many lions do you see?
