Objective
By the end of this lesson, the preschool student will be able to recognize and write numbers 1-10 and create simple number-related stories.
Materials and Prep
Materials: Paper, markers or crayons
Preparation: None
Activities
1. Number Hunt: Hide paper numbers around the room and have the student find and identify them.
2. Number Stories: Ask the student to pick a number and draw that many objects, then create a simple story about the drawing.
3. Number Writing: Practice writing numbers 1-10 on the paper.

- "Numbers are all around us! Can you find the number 5 in the room? What does it look like?"
- "Let's draw 3 apples. How many apples did we draw? Can you tell me a story about the apples?"
- "Now, let's try to write the number 2. Start at the top and make a little curve, just like a swan's neck!"
