- Ask the student to count the number of raindrops as they fall into the cup
- Encourage the student to practice counting and recognize numbers
Kindergarten Grade Talking Points
- Rain comes from clouds in the sky. When the clouds get heavy, they release raindrops.
- "Look up at the sky, what color is it? It's blue like our cup of water."
- "The white stuff on top is like a cloud. When it gets heavy, it rains."
- "Let's count the raindrops as they fall into the cup. Can you count with me?"
