Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to spell and use a variety of words related to different themes and topics.
Materials and Prep
Materials needed: paper, pencils, and access to a dictionary or online spelling resources. Prep: None.
Activities

Spelling Bee: Choose a list of 20 words related to a specific theme (e.g. animals, food, or nature). Have the student spell each word aloud.

Word Search: Create a word search puzzle with the theme-related words. Have the student find and circle each word in the puzzle.

Story Writing: Ask the student to write a short story using as many of the theme-related words as possible. Encourage creativity and proper usage of the words.
