Objective
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to create a collaborative art project with their peers, demonstrating teamwork and creativity.
Materials and Prep
Materials: Construction paper, markers, glue, scissors
Prep: Cut out various shapes from the construction paper to use for the art project
Activities
1. Group Collage: Have the students sit in a circle and pass around the construction paper shapes. Each student will add one shape to the collaborative collage in the center of the circle.
2. Shape Hunt: Take the students on a shape hunt around the house, asking them to find different shapes (e.g. rectangular door, circular plate). Then, have them draw the shapes they found on paper.
3. Color Mixing: Show the students how to mix primary colors (red, yellow, blue) to create secondary colors (orange, green, purple) using markers.
