Second Grade Talking Points

  • Bees are important because they help plants make new seeds and fruits. Without bees, we wouldn't have many of the foods we love, like apples and strawberries.
  • Bees collect nectar from flowers and make honey. Honey is a sweet and delicious treat that bees make for themselves to eat.
  • Bees live in hives and work together as a team. The queen bee is in charge, and the worker bees collect food and take care of the babies.
