- Counting objects such as blocks, buttons, or toys
- Paper and crayons for drawing
Prep:
- Make sure you have enough counting objects for the activities
- Prepare a few simple addition and subtraction problems for practice
Activities
1. Counting Fun: Use the counting objects to practice counting from 1 to 10. Make it a game by asking the student to find and count specific numbers of objects.
2. Drawing Numbers: Have the student draw pictures to represent the numbers 1 to 10. For example, one sun, two trees, three stars, and so on.
3. Addition and Subtraction Play: Create simple addition and subtraction problems using the counting objects. For example, "If I have 3 apples and I eat 1, how many apples are left?"
