Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to identify and locate different continents on a world map.
Materials and Prep
Materials: World map, globe, colored markers, blank paper
Prep: Familiarize yourself with the names and locations of the continents on the world map.
Activities
1. World Map Scavenger Hunt: Hide small toys or objects representing different continents around the room. Ask the student to find and place each item on the corresponding continent on the world map.
2. Continents Coloring: Provide the student with a blank world map and ask them to color each continent with a different color. Discuss the names of the continents as they color.
3. Globe Spin and Stop: Spin the globe and have the student stop it with their finger. Ask them to find the continent closest to where their finger landed and name it.
