Before the lesson, review the different types of healthy foods and their benefits for energy and physical activities.
Activities
- Warm-up: Start with a fun dance or movement activity to get the body moving and heart rate up.
- Food Energy Match: Show pictures of different healthy foods and discuss how they provide energy for physical activities. Have the student match the food with the corresponding physical activity.
- Obstacle Course: Set up a simple obstacle course using household items and have the student navigate through it. Discuss how eating healthy foods can give them the energy to complete the course.
- Hydration Station: Talk about the importance of drinking water for staying hydrated during physical activities. Have the student take sips of water and discuss how it makes them feel refreshed.
