Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to identify and use nouns and verbs in sentences while having fun with Roblox.

Materials and Prep

To complete this lesson, you will need a computer or tablet with access to Roblox and a writing tool to jot down sentences. No prior knowledge is required.

Activities

• Roblox Scavenger Hunt: Go on a Roblox adventure and find 5 objects. Write a sentence for each object using a noun and a verb. For example, "The cat jumps."

• Roblox Character Story: Choose a Roblox character and create a short story using at least 3 sentences. Make sure to include nouns and verbs in each sentence. For example, "The dog runs fast."

• Roblox Building Challenge: Build something in Roblox and describe it using a sentence with a noun and a verb. For example, "The house stands tall."

• "Nouns are words that name people, animals, places, or things. Can you find a noun in this sentence: 'The cat is sleeping'?"
• "Verbs are action words that show what someone or something is doing. What is the verb in this sentence: 'The dog is barking'?"
• "Let's look around in Roblox and find things we can write about. What noun can we use to describe what we see?"
• "Now, let's think about what our Roblox characters are doing. What action can we use as a verb?"
