Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to understand and describe the historical significance of Advent and its traditions.
Materials and Prep
Materials: Paper, crayons/markers, and any craft supplies available. Prep: Familiarize yourself with the concept of Advent and its traditions.
Activities
1. Create an Advent Wreath: Have the student draw and color a wreath on a piece of paper, and then cut out and assemble paper candles to place on the wreath. 2. Story Time: Read a simple story about the history and significance of Advent, and discuss it with the student. 3. Advent Calendar: Help the student create a simple Advent calendar using paper, with a small activity or treat for each day leading up to Christmas.
