Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to identify and describe various animals in French and use basic French phrases related to animals.

Materials and Prep

Materials:

• Pen and paper
• Printed or digital pictures of animals

Prep:

• Review basic French animal vocabulary
• Prepare animal pictures for visual aid

Activities

1. Animal Vocabulary Matching Game:
Present a set of animal pictures and their corresponding French names. Have the student match the pictures with the correct French words.

2. Animal Charades:
Act out the movements and sounds of different animals while saying the French names. Have the student guess the animal being portrayed.

3. Create a Mini Zoo:
Ask the student to draw or cut out pictures of animals and label them with their French names to create a mini zoo display.
