Materials and Prep

  • Fortnite book or story (online or physical)
  • Paper and pencil

No prior knowledge needed, just bring your enthusiasm and love for Fortnite!

Activities

  • Read a Fortnite story or book and identify the main idea and key details. Write down the main idea and at least three key details on the paper.
  • Discuss how the story relates to your own experiences. How do the characters' actions or feelings remind you of your own experiences in Fortnite or in real life?

  • What is the main idea of the story? - "The main idea is the most important point the author is trying to make in the story. It's like the big picture of what the story is about."
  • Can you tell me three key details from the story? - "Key details are specific pieces of information that support the main idea. They help us understand the story better."
  • How does the story relate to your experiences in Fortnite or real life? - "Think about how the characters' actions or feelings in the story remind you of your own experiences. It's like making connections between the story and your own life."
