Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to apply arithmetic concepts to solve problems related to Roblox.
Materials and Prep
- Paper and pencil
- Roblox account (already set up)
- Basic knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Activities
-
Create a Roblox Store
Imagine you are starting your own virtual store in Roblox. Choose a theme for your store, such as a clothing store or a toy store. Decide on the prices for the items you will sell, and write them down on a piece of paper. Use addition to find the total cost if a customer buys multiple items. For example, if a t-shirt costs $10 and a pair of jeans costs $20, how much will it cost if a customer buys both?
-
Earning Robux
Robux is the virtual currency used in Roblox. Imagine you want to earn Robux by completing tasks in the game. Write down a list of tasks you can do, such as completing a quest or winning a race. Assign different amounts of Robux to each task. Use multiplication to calculate how much Robux you can earn by completing multiple tasks. For example, if one task gives you 5 Robux and you complete it 3 times, how many Robux will you earn in total?
-
Sharing Robux with Friends
You want to share some of your earned Robux with your friends. Write down the amount of Robux you want to share and the number of friends you want to share it with. Use division to calculate how many Robux each friend will receive. For example, if you have 20 Robux and you want to share it equally with 4 friends, how many Robux will each friend get?
